SSR to Celebrate 30th Anniversary with a Charity Challenge

This year, we are celebrating our 30th anniversary and to commemorate the occasion, 18 of us will be taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 8th June 2019. This test of endurance involves a total walking distance of 23 miles (37km) across three mountain peaks across the UK, with a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft), in under 24 hours.

We are taking on this challenge to raise money for the ongoing and excellent work undertaken by local mental health charity, Bristol Mind.

Bristol Mind aims to promote a positive view of mental health and provide services that are accessible, relevant and empowering to the people using them. Their services aim to contribute to mental and emotional wellbeing, and to reduce stigma and discrimination.

SSR began trading in 1989, offering specialist scheme insurance policies underwritten by QBE from our office in Bristol. To this day, QBE still underwrite our scheme products, but we’ve grown from a small team of three offering security and fire protection liability policies, to a 32-strong company. 30 years and four office-moves later, we have expanded our product offering to include airside and aviation products liability, open market excess of loss solutions, and most recently Equipsme, a health and wellbeing product for SMEs.

We will be scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon within 24 hours and we would appreciate any donations, however big or small, that you could offer to help raise vital funds for the important work that Bristol Mind does.

Please visit our Just Giving Page to donate.
