Based in the centre of Bristol, SSR was formed in 1989 to provide niche expertise and wholesale insurance products to meet the needs of clients operating in the security and fire protection industries.

We have maintained an exclusive relationship with QBE since our formation, which has enabled us to consistently meet the needs of high risk industries, backed up by excellent service and the security of the worldwide QBE Insurance Group.

Over the years, our range of products has been continually developed to provide market leading cover for a range of other specialist industries. We continue to develop new products for emerging and established sectors, both with QBE and other providers, such as AXA XL Insurance Company UK Ltd and Aviva Insurance Ltd.

In January 2023, we became an Acrisure Partner. We have been totally independent since we started trading in 1989, however with Acrisure, we have encountered another business that would allow us to build on our success and improve our business.

Acrisure specializes in intelligence-driven financial services, providing a broad array of products including Insurance, Reinsurance, Real Estate Services, Cyber Services, and Asset & Wealth Management. The Company has grown revenue from $38 million to nearly $4 billion in just over nine years with locations throughout the world. Acrisure is the intelligence-driven financial services distribution platform of the future. Find out more at www.acrisure.com.

We do not deal directly with clients. We feel that their needs are best served by the support and knowledge of a broker local to them, who can access our niche products for their clients on a wholesale basis.

For more information, download our company brochure on the link below.

We offer bespoke insurance policies for niche industries that have specialist insurance requirements that the general market is usually unable to meet.
